Discover the shores of Lake Verney up to the Himalayan footbridge to reach the EDF Hydrelec museum. Go by bike with the children or in a stroller, it's all easy!
The circuit runs along the lake's right bank with a view of the peaks of the Grandes Rousses massif. A real Sunday stroll, peaceful, on a wide track, which allows you to let the children frolic or cycle around you. Once you reach the end of the lake, at the Eau d'Olle torrent, it is possible to cross thanks to the footbridge and reach the hamlet of Verney, in the commune of VaujanyThe EDF Hydrelec Museum, the national hydroelectricity museum, was created here following the construction of the Grand'Maison dam, one of the most powerful in Europe. The permanent exhibition, with its impressive machines, underwent an intensive renovation in 2015. Kids love it, and it's free!

ITINERARY :
Park at the Verney water sports centre, at the top of the dam. The route starts at the water sports centre where you will find picnic tables, a solarium, children's games and where you can go windsurfing, pedal boating, paddle boarding and canoeing (July and August).
After the “Guinguette”, a small restaurant on the water’s edge, follow the path along the lake to the footbridge that allows you to cross to reach the hamlet of Verney. Follow the banks of the lake to the stairs on the left that joins the EDF Hydrelec museum. A visit is a must!
After a break at the museum, retrace your steps to take the Himalayan footbridge again, then choose from:
– return by the same route.

– continue right on the track. You can then take the path on the left which goes up for 400 m to the Villaret road which you follow by turning left. Or join this same road by going to the end of the track, after the barrier go back up to the side of the road (watch out for traffic) for 200 m before taking the first road on the left, Villaret road.
Follow the Villaret road to a small bridge after the hamlet of “la Drayrie”. About 100 m after the bridge, go down to the left, follow the stream and reach the edge of the lake. Turn right to return to the car park.
