Les Sûres – Randonnée depuis Auris-en-Oisans
A hike through the heart of Europe's highest southern-facing spruce forest! This area is regularly frequented by chamois, so be careful and discreet.
This balcony path will offer you a magnificent panorama of the Écrins, as well as a plunging view of the Bourg-d'Oisans plain and its surrounding massifs.

From the tourist office, turn right onto Rue de Piégut. Take the road uphill to the first bend where you will find the access to the trail with a yellow PDIPR sign indicating the direction of Les Sures. A short climb through the forest will take you onto a track that will climb gently. At its end, take the path that goes off to the right, still in the direction of Les Sures. You will then follow the green trails ofAuris-en-Oisans on one side and overlook the Romanche valley on the other on your left. Once you arrive at Les Sures, the view from above is magnificent! You will even see the famous Alpe d'Huez resort in front of you (in the direction of the ascent) and on the other the Meije !

– Numerous chapels: the Chapel of the Angels, some of whose objects are listed in the inventory of historical monuments, or the Chapel of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, whose wooden bell tower makes it special.
– All the oratories preserved.
– The Romanesque church.
