N°12 Romanche – Tour du Plateau d'Emparis
Very sporty and technical loop
From Chazelet, head towards the Buffe valley, cross the villages of Rivets and follow the left bank track to the bottom of the valley
At the Buffe barracks, turn left, a steep path, which requires pushing and alternating rolling for almost 1 hour.
Once you arrive on the plateau, go down the pretty path that awaits you, cross the meadows, then reach the St-Georges pass.
Follow the track for a hundred meters, then cut left, onto the GR which goes down. Go up towards the Col du Souchet, via the path.
At the Col du Souchet, turn right, a path which goes up and around Lac Noir, and returns towards Lac Lérié
Rapid descent by the very pretty GR towards the top of the Emparis plateau ski lift.
After crossing the ski lift, take a more technical descent on the left leading to Clot Raffin, then reach the Village du Chazelet via a final short climb.
