N°13 Romanche – Galibier Villar-d'Arêne
Descending route from the Galibier Pass to enjoy the view of the Écrins massif and its glaciers. The first section follows the old dirt road, which is sometimes stony.
From the Henri Desgranges monument, follow the old Galibier road on the right (wide dirt track).
Cross the D1091, take the path opposite which goes down into the valley
Cross the Lautaret road near the Torrent de Roche Noire.
At the Nailleau crossroads, cross the footbridge over the Roche Noire torrent then go back up the GR 50 towards the Col du Lautaret.
At the Lautaret pass, cross the road and the car park and continue on the GR 50 towards the Pied du Col,
then Villar d'Arène by the track.
From the foot of the pass, it is possible to catch up with route no. 4 in order to extend the exit.
