N°2 Romanche – Au fil de la Romanche
Loop: Descent towards the hamlet of Fréaux and ascent along the Romanche.
From La Grave, cross the Arboretum and the campsite, go down the path on the left which joins the road to the reverse.
At the crossroads, go along the Romanche and go back up along the torrent of La Meije. Follow the road again,
go down to the Bike Park, which runs along the left bank of the Romanche. After crossing the woods, take a pretty hidden path on the right just before joining the road,
OPTION: Before arriving at the village of Fréaux, take the dirt track opposite. A gentle descent through the undergrowth leads to the water treatment plant. Turn around at this point and return
at the Fréaux bridge, cross the Romanche, then take the path on the right which goes back up towards the D1091
Cross the D1091 and go up a dirt track before crossing the D1091 again to reach another campsite. Once at the bridge under the cable car, cross it and go up the reverse road on the left towards the arboretum.
