N°3 Romanche – Les hameaux de Villar d'Arêne
Loop: Discovery of the hamlets of the sources of the Romanche
From the Villar d'Arène cemetery car park, at the level of the mountain bike route map,
go up towards the church then leave the village towards the hamlet of Pied du Col via a dirt track.
Turn left at the D207 then right onto the D1091 (towards the Col du Lautaret). As soon as possible, turn right to join a dirt track between the D1091 and the D207.
Before arriving at the hamlet of Pied du Col, join the D207 for around a hundred metres before turning right.
Cross the campsite and go to the end of La Gravière at the car park where the hiking trails start, following the right bank of the Romanche.
Head back towards Pied du Col then cross the D1091 and climb towards the hamlet of Cours.
When you reach the hamlet, continue to climb on a path going up on the left before reaching the tarmac road to take on the descent.
Leave this road for a path descending to the level of the Saint Antoine chapel. Arrival at Villar d'Arène.
