N°34 La Boucle de l'Aulnaie VTT – Bleu
A hilly loop in the heart of the largest alder grove in France, a natural labyrinth used by Nordic skiers in winter, at the foot of the impressive schist ravines of the Tête des Filons.
A unique way to discover a rare environment: the white alder forests, a pioneer mountain species favored by the work of restoring mountain terrain and correcting torrential floods that have long disrupted this side of the Malsanne valley. The route follows the operating tracks of these structures set up by the ONF (transformed into cross-country ski trails in winter) and allows you to climb quietly to a ford with a Dantesque appearance (but completely safe!) where you can directly feel the force of the elements. The descent through the forest will allow you to admire the impressive face of the Grand Armet (2792m) through the gaps.
