Departing fromOulles, this loop route crosses various levels of vegetation, offering you beautiful perspectives on the alpine landscapes before opening onto the Taillefer plateau, with splendid views of the surrounding peaks.

ITINERARY :
From the village ofOullesThe trail gradually climbs through a forest of deciduous and coniferous trees, offering superb views towards the Romanche Valley. As you gain altitude, you cross alpine meadows, rich in varied flora, before arriving at the Taillefer refuge, ideal for a break. The climb continues to the Taillefer plateau, a vast expanse dotted with small lakes and pools, including Lake Fourchu. This plateau, surrounded by rock formations, offers a perfect setting to relax while admiring the wild beauty of the area.

-We can sometimes observe marmots which are particularly fond of this place during the summer.
