This 43.3-kilometer marathon trail with a 3600-meter elevation gain will allow you to discover the fabulous Plateau d'Emparis and its lakes, in the heart of the Ferrand Valley. A magical place for a race that is almost always above 2 m in altitude, with the added bonus of breathtaking views of the Massif de la Meije and its glaciers. Points of interest: Besse, a flowery and traditional village in Oisans; the Maison des Alpages, a true conservatory of pastoralism which is worth the detour; the oven still in operation at the exit of the village Tourte, Brioches, various breads kneaded by hand and cooked in a wood fire!

The maratrail passes through environments that are home to rare and fragile (or even endangered) animal and plant species.
