ROUTE
Join us Venosc, leave Bourg d'Arud and after the bridge over the Vénéon, take the first road on the right and go to the end of the hamlet of Alleau. Under the stairs of the last house, a private oratory. The path follows the GR 54 which goes up the Pisse stream. Oratoire du Cerisier is at the edge of the path, at the height of the ruins of Pleynet. After a steep start, a long and hot section in the rockery leads to a footbridge. We then continue with a series of steps which leads to a plateau, before descending the few meters to arrive at the refuge.
The glacier, the lake at its feet and the prestigious summits of the Écrins (the Rateau, etc.) are a wonderful reward at the end of this long walk.
This hike is located entirely in a valley: it should only be attempted after informing yourself about the avalanche risks and with suitable equipment.
Return by the same path.
