Refuge de la Lavey, Vallon de la Muande

An accessible hike going up along the Muande. The path leads to the Lavey refuge, the starting point for the glaciers.
From the car park, take the path marked "Vallon de la Lavey" at the signs for the entrance gate to the Ecrins National Park. Go down below the hamlet to Vénéon, then take the magnificent stone bridge that spans the torrent (remember to close the barrier properly). The Lavey waterfall on the left, take the winding path that goes up to reach the Raya chalets.
Continue on the right bank of the Muande torrent until reaching the new stone bridge with a semicircular arch.
The route continues on the left bank until arriving at the Lavey refuge.
Return by the same route to the stone bridge
50 m before the stone bridge going down from the refuge, stay on the left bank of the Muande torrent. The path climbs slightly before arriving at the hamlet of Souchey.
Then go down towards the Vénéon in the direction of Clot, follow this direction and cross the Vénéon using a large wooden footbridge. Then go back up the path and shortly before the hamlet of Clot take the path that leads back to the Champhorent car park.
