Visitor alert

The site is subject to high traffic in July and August.
We invite you to discover our suggestion nearby to take full advantage of our territory.
Route potentially subject to significant damage due to major weather events and whose viability may be uncertain, find out before setting off on this route.

Very nice walk to reach the refuge as you cross mountain pastures, habitat of marmots and flocks of sheep in summer. The path gradually rises above the valley, offering a magnificent panorama of the Oisans Massif.
The Plateau du Taillefer is a Natura 2000 site, many species of fauna and flora are protected and sensitive there, we must therefore adapt our behavior so that the landscape and biodiversity continue to amaze us:
– I stay on marked trails (paint, signs, etc.). I do not take shortcuts that cause soil erosion, destroy vegetation and disturb wildlife and herds.
– I keep my dog on a leash so as not to disturb wildlife and domestic herds.
– I don’t make fires in the mountains. It destroys the soil for decades.
– I camp outside of wetlands and pitch my tent at suitable times (19 p.m. to 9 a.m.).
– I don't throw away trash.
– I don’t pick flowers. I prefer a lasting memory by taking a photo.
– I am inquiring about private ownership of certain areas.
