Tour du plateau d'Emparis depuis Mizoën en 4 jours
This 4-day tour allows you to visit the Emparis plateau, a unique place in the Écrins massif, and to reach the Pic du Mas de La Grave (3020m).
The tour begins with a short stage that invites you to stroll from village to hamlet. The path climbs on schist-balcony paths, and allows you to arrive at the Lauvitel lake and its discovery trail, then at the hamlet of Clots, overlooked by one of the most beautiful petrifying waterfalls in Isère. The second stage first follows the Pisse torrent leading to the famous petrifying waterfall. You then quickly reach the Fay and Mouterres refuges via a pastoral track. The path then joins the Plateau d'Emparis and its two emblematic lakes: Lake Lerié and Lake Noir, where the Écrins glaciers are revealed and La MeijeThe third day is punctuated by the imposing presence of the Pic du Mas de La Grave (3020m). From the Buffe valley, the climb to the Pic is a must for experienced hikers and offers a 360° view. Then return to the Fay and Mouterres refuges for the night. The last stage allows for a gentle end to this trek. The descent progresses through the mountain pastures and allows, via schist trails, to reach MizoënReturn to civilization by experiencing the life of yesteryear, through ruins of mountain chalets and man-made terraces.
