Tour du plateau d'Emparis en 3 jours
For 3 days, the hiker sets off to discover a unique place in the massif, the Emparis plateau. Alpine pastures, isolated dwellings that have become mountain huts and a panoramic view of the Écrins make up the diversity of this itinerary.
The first rather short stage invites you to stroll from village to hamlet, to gain height on schist paths in balconies, and allows you to arrive at two spaces where tranquility is required. First the Lovitel lake and its discovery trail, then the hamlet of Clots, overlooked by one of the most beautiful petrifying waterfalls in Isère
On the second day, we take a magnificent path along the Pisse torrent which takes us overlooking the eponymous waterfall and the famous petrifying fountain. Then we quickly arrive at the Fay and Mouterres refuges via a pastoral track. The path will then join the GR2 before pulling hikers upwards to offer them a unique view of the Emparis plateau and its two emblematic lakes: Lake Lerié and Lake Noir. Here the Écrins glaciers are revealed, La Meije, it is one of the most beautiful views of the high peaks of the massif.
The 3rd stage, all gentle downhill, progresses through the mountain pastures and allows you to reach via schist paths MizoënWe return to civilization, experiencing the life of yesteryear, through the ruins of mountain chalets and man-made terraces.
