Tour du Signal de l'Homme
For this hike, you will gain height on the Grandes Rousses massif starting from Alpe d'Huez.
This tour of the Signal de l'Homme guarantees a sporty outing but rewarded with panoramas and encounters. Keep your eyes peeled because the marmots are never far away. Posted as lookouts in front of their burrows, they are on the lookout for the slightest danger but are used to hikers. In the sky, it is the vultures who put on a show. Then, what panoramas... The path on the Auris coast offers a magnificent view of the peaks of Oisans, the Deux Alpes, the Chambon lake... To gallop a little, the track from the Col de Maronne will make people happy!
The mileage of this loop is not very high but beware of the elevation gain! Some slopes are steep so choosing the route of Col de Sarenne on the balcony allows for a gentle descent and ascent. Don't worry, this road is not very busy.
To cool off, at the ford, the Sarenne river is accessible to horses.
Departure from the Alpe d'Huez resort, Bergers district in the large car park opposite the hotel Le Pic Blanc.
/!\ Passing in front of a clay pigeon shooting range (detonations to be anticipated)
