Via Ferrata d'Arsine
This via ferrata, located on the foothills of the massif of the Meije and at the entrance to the Écrins National Park, is pleasantly shaded in summer. It is a relatively easy route that can still include some challenging and athletic passages.

It is ideal for beginners and getting to know the void because the via ferrata has an escape route halfway through.
Its orientation on the foothills of the massif of the Meije guarantees you a nice cool summer, on the edge of the Romanche.
The first part, which stretches for about twenty meters, will warm up your fingers before tackling the most beautiful passage of the via: the ascent of a fairly steep pillar. A slab allows you to climb up the left edge of a beautiful ridge. You then come out onto a grassy ledge, with an escape route on the right.
The second part climbs a beautiful overhanging slab above a roof and ends with a less steep spur. The last few metres of the via ferrata are in the realm of dizzying hiking and allow you to properly appreciate the view of the Agneaux.
The descent path is well marked (30 minutes).
Along the way, discover Villar-d'Arène, in Haute-Romanche, it's a breathtaking high mountain spectacle. Right next door, La Grave, the Queen's cable car Meije takes you to the glaciers in 40 minutes!
