Via Ferrata St Christophe tronçon 1 – été 2024
The bubbling turquoise blue Vénéon, an airy and moving footbridge, a varied and well thought-out route, a few athletic passages, good sensations of emptiness make this via ferrata a success of its kind. It consists of 2 sections.
The first section is an athletic route, with no escape, for skilled via ferratists. The 1nd section is accessible to children aged 2 and over!

This first section offers a very varied and fun route through the cliff.
The start immediately sets the mood: a small rocky bar overhanging the tumultuous Vénéon… You then gain altitude up to a footbridge with a strong rolling motion that evokes bridges from the depths of Colombia. You cross a nice step, then slabs before joining the road to Saint-Christophe en Oisans.
To continue on the 2nd part of the via ferrata to the Vierge du Collet, simply cross the road and take the start.
The rest is a route in its own right for little calves eager to rub against the wall (30 min). From 6 years old, children will be able to put on a harness and learn to move along the cable without apprehension: there are loopholes to shorten the ride if they feel tired.
