Villard-Reymond et Villard-Notre-Dame – Randonnée depuis le Bourg-d'Oisans
A beautiful wild loop which offers a breathtaking view of the Bourg-d'Oisans plain and the Uissan peaks.
After a spectacular and demanding climb, enjoy a balcony path over the plain before going back down via the Chemin du Facteur.

ROUTE
From Bourg-d'Oisans, head towards the Pisse waterfall via the greenway.
The path rises into the woods and becomes more aerial, an opportunity to discover the clear view of the Vénéon and Auris-en-Oisans.
The hike then becomes more difficult, mainly in the forest, on a steep path with a few cable passages and a crossing by a “rope bridge”. On the program of this wild and spectacular route along the waterfalls of the Rochail stream; magnificent views of the waterfall and the plain.
Villard-Notre-Dame, and its centuries-old church, welcome you at the end of the climb.
Then connect the two traditional villages, the highest perched in Oisans, by the track which joins Villard-Reymond with a well-deserved meal. The well-marked path starts behind the church of Villard-Notre-Dame, then joins the forest track. The panorama that opens onto the Romanche valley, the mountains and the villages of Oisans is superb! Then take a (very) small detour to stroll in Villard-Reymond.
From Villard Reymond, return to the Col du Solude. The descent is via the path that was, only a few centuries ago, the only access between Le Bourg-d'Oisans and Villard-Reymond for the locals... and the postman! An opportunity to notice the work of supporting the slate switchbacks. The path winds in steep, well-marked switchbacks through the heart of a beech forest to reach the Bourg-d'Oisans belvedere and the town center.
