Sylvie and Seb welcome you to their refuge, a former sheepfold entirely restored with ecological and traditional materials; located in the heart of the Villar d'Arène mountain pasture, at the foot of the glaciers at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park.
Located on the Plan de l'Alpe at 2106m, at the foot of the glaciers and at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park, this superb chalet-refuge will open its doors to you for a stay in the heart of nature; a beautiful escape in the heart of the mountains, to recharge your batteries and fill up on beautiful energy with your family. Clean sheet required.
This comfortable and small capacity refuge welcomes you for one night or more, for a sporty or contemplative stay (or both) in a magnificent and calm setting, far from wifi, stress and the hassle of life below! Accommodation in small rooms.
The refuge has 20 places, a bathroom with 2 sinks and 2 hot showers and a large living/dining room with wood stove. Electricity 220V. Outdoor solar shower.
Allow approximately 1 to 30 hours for the climb via the path from Arsine (Villar d'Arène) and 2 hours via the Crevasses path from Col du Lautaret (halfway along this path, there is a somewhat dizzying passage lasting 50m but with a handrail on the path along the wall).
There are many easy hikes to discover from the refuge, here are a few examples:
– The Sources of the Romanche
– The Star Lake
– Lake Arsine
