Eat and sleep in a typical hamlet
Our Auberge gîte with a capacity of 50 places is located at the foot of the 2 Alpes ski resort, on the edge of the Ecrins National Park in a corner of Isère called Oisans.
We are located in the heart of a traditional hamlet “Bons” whose nickname is “Bons la Romaine” for the passage of a Roman road towards Briançon and Italy. The remains of a “Roman gate” nearby is the symbol of this.
Our position on the GR54 b allows for numerous hikes from our establishment, in a magnificent and wild setting well known to enthusiasts.
La Mansio is quite a program!
First of all the name: it is the one given to the inns along the Roman roads. The architectural bases of our building date from the 17th century, an old stable farm. The ground floor is therefore all vaults.
The building was extended in 1962 to make it a holiday camp for the CE RATP. Today it has become a group gîte.
Coupled with the gîte, our inn is open all year round. We therefore favour half-board and full-board. We prepare home-made cuisine using fresh and as much local produce as possible. Finally, because our history is that of mountain traders, we have continued our trade by opening a small cheese shop, grocery store in the heart of the hamlet.
Our rooms are of several types:
*from 2 to 6 people, some are designed to stay for several days with bathrooms, others are more “transit” oriented with WC and showers in the common areas.
We also have a small apartment with shower and toilet, and a family room with shower and private bedroom for the parents (the toilet is opposite the bedroom door in the hallway).
Around the cottage many activities are possible depending on the seasons. Skiing with the proximity of the resort (chairlift access at 800m), snowshoeing. Mountain biking, cycling, hiking in summer. Many other activities are possible all around within a radius of 50 km.
Our cottage is not rented out on a self-catering basis and is not a festive place given its location in the heart of the hamlet. It is a lively place, sharing the typicality of the hamlet and its inhabitants.
CYCLO 2 VELO LABEL:
This accommodation is labeled “Accueil Cyclo Oisans – 2 vélos” and therefore offers equipment and services adapted to cyclists.
