Refuge de la Muzelle

Venosc
– Mountain hut
Refuge (2130 m.) guarded every day from mid-June to the first weekend of October and weekends from the end of May. 1 places available during guarded periods, 68 places during non-guarded periods.
Cross the hamlet of Alleau (934 m), arrive at the footbridge at the end of which is the explanatory panel on the Muzelle. The climb is then steep (allow 3/4 hours of walking to reach the ruined hamlet of Pleynet). The path then leaves the forest and follows the torrent of "piss" and its waterfalls coming from the Muzelle glacier. Cross the Clos du Sela footbridge (1910 m), the ascent becomes more difficult in the slate quarry and meadows. Arriving at the peat bogs, the glacier and the summit of Muzelle are reflected in the lake of the same name. A simply magical view!
