Refuge de la Selle au printemps
The Vallon de la Selle is dominated by this panoramic refuge, with bold architecture. It is in this warm place that mountaineers, climbers or hikers leaving as they approach the glacier will be welcomed.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Start Point: Saint-Christophe-en-Oisans (1475 m)
Elevation: 1 m
Round trip duration on foot: 4 hours there, 3 hours back
Distance: 8,2 km
The refuge is located at the end of the Vallon du Diable, an absolutely magnificent mineral site. Since 1878, once you arrive up there, it's time to relax: aperitif at sunset, card games between companions for the evening and good little dishes. Ideal for preparing the next day's race in complete peace!
SPRING guarded mountain hut
The refuge is accessible by ski touring or possibly by snowshoes at the end of the season.
Access is via:
– or from the Prés car park in Saint Christophe en Oisans (the road is now open to car traffic).
– Either from the dome of the lauze from the top of the resort of La Grave or Les Deux Alpes (access only by ski).
Call the refuge or send a message to the wardens to find out access and snow conditions.
WINTER excluding guarding

Icefalls in the valley
The old mountain hut serves as a “winter mountain hut” outside the guarding season: 12 places with wool blankets, a few dishes, no water, no gas, no heating, no electricity or toilet.
Please leave this place clean, take your trash back down, and close the windows and doors properly!

Noémie, the summer caretaker, welcomes you from June to the beginning of September.
