Refuge de l'Alpe du Pin
The refuge is located on a magnificent belvedere, the discovery of the landscape and the hike in the middle of preserved nature will be gentle and should seduce you.
Around the refuge you will find several activities such as hiking (tour of the Grand Cond, Lac de la Mariande, Lac du Salude, or even the Col de la Mariande, etc.),
mountaineering (Tête de Lauranoure, Col de la Haute Pisse, etc.) and also climbing (2 long routes in the Pierroux, 3 routes around the Froide Pisse waterfall).
Built in 1947, the refuge has managed to maintain the modesty of its origins over the decades while reasonably adapting its comfort to today's requirements.
In 2019, installation of a solar cooker
Here, everything is homemade with as many local and seasonal products as possible, partly organic. Honey from Oisans from Ecrin de Miel, Goodwin beers from Bourg-d'Oisans, meat and charcuterie from the Rochail farm, cheeses from Villard-Reculas andOrnon, flour from Trieves, eggs from North Isère… You can taste croziflette, donkey ears, blueberry tart or even chocolate fondant.
Various snacks at any time. Half board and picnic.
If you plan to eat in a refuge, or even ask for a picnic, it is better to warn, or even book. Indeed, the refuges have limited stocks and in all cases sized for their reception capacities… If bivouacking is tolerated near the refuges, to be checked imperatively with the wardens, campers, themselves, are not counted in the stocks. Remember to call the wardens to book your meal if you wish to take advantage of the comfort of this service.
