Refuge du Fay
The Fay refuge is a family refuge of which we have been owners and guardians for 43 years! Chickens, goats and horses provide the welcome committee, which is sure to please the little ones!
Please note: this site is Natura 2000 certified and is subject to numerous measures to preserve its biodiversity. In this sense, we invite you to adopt good reflexes when you come in order to protect this sensitive space.
The Plateau itself is a little corner of paradise, with a wide variety of alpine flowers in June and July, numerous colonies of marmots very close to the refuge, grasshoppers, butterflies, dragonflies towards the lakes, but also larks, the golden eagle and recently vultures from the south (around sixty). Emparis has also always been a renowned mountain pasture: the path will then be an excuse to meet the shepherds, their dogs and their thousands of sheep.
