The accessible Goléon refuge awaits you in summer and winter in an exceptional setting between lake and MeijeThe Guardians will warmly welcome you to this small, characterful refuge to spend the night or have something to eat.
Young and old, hikers and mountaineers, athletes and contemplative types, you will be charmed by the ideal location of the Goléon refuge where everyone will find something for them. Accessible in 1 hours from the hamlet of Valfroide, a local tale told on the rocks will motivate the little ones to climb. The more experienced can leave from La Grave or Villar d'Arène (allow 4 hours, accessible by bus from Grenoble or Briançon).

Wild hikes are accessible from the refuge: Cruq des Aiguilles, Col Lombard, Col du Goléon, Glacier Lombard… and itineraries such as the Tour du Pays de la Meije, the Tour du Pays des Aiguilles d'Arves or a variant of the GR54. The Aiguille du Goléon is an easy mountaineering route ideal for beginners (specific equipment).
Fishing is also possible in the Goléon lake, which is stocked every year. (Don't forget your fishing license)
In winter, the valley offers numerous possibilities for star-shaped ski tours and crossings to nearby refuges.

The Refuge du Goléon is open continuously during the guarding periods (summer and winter). Reservations required for half-board.
Out of season, the building does not have any unguarded space: it is therefore completely closed.
