Every summer since 1999, the "Festival des randonnées musicales" has put together a quality and mixed program, spanning July and August. The guest artists are inspired by a variety of musical sounds: hip-hop, pop, rock, reggae, groove, funk, electro-swing or world music.

The source of inspiration for this 100% outdoor event is the green meadows of Ferrand, the streams or waterfalls and the peaks that frame it all. But also the villages of the valley with their preserved architecture. A fascinating natural and cultural heritage that the locals wanted share in a festive spirit !
A festival of “timeless” moments
This is howa loyal public gathers around the small squares, the sheepfolds or the high-altitude refuges for a musical break. The opportunity to revisit the typical architecture of Haut-Oisans and to soak up the traditional charm of the villages under the caress of the sun.
“Unusual” concerts in the heart of nature!
The musical hike This is the festival's charming asset: walking for relocate the scene in the mountains. Facing the glaciers, in the middle of the pastures, under the benevolent eye of the peaks, the concerts take on an intoxicating dimension. Another formula, the itinerant hike : following the artists along the easy hiking trails. From break to break, they punctuate the walk with selected pieces.
So put on your hiking shoes and follow the trails to join the concert surrounded by alpine flowers!
Festival: instructions for use
- Free, both concerts and hikes.
- Every year between the last week of July and the first week of August.
- Around ten concerts scheduled in the 3 villages of the Ferrand valley.
- During the day or in the evening, outdoors in village squares or near a refuge, roaming the streets or on hiking trails. Each concert is different!
- Entertainment are also offered throughout the year by the festival association. Children and adults can attend workshops (culinary, visual arts, etc.), themed hikes, decentralized shows (MC2), exhibitions, debate-conferences, film screenings, etc.
