Markets and local life
For the Uissans, markets are always a great opportunity to get together and stock up on vegetables, fruits, cheeses, breads and other products with local flavors. The Bourg-d'Oisans market in particular is a ritual event not to be missed! This market is a highlight of local life, an opportunity to stock up, but also to meet the inhabitants of the hilltop villages and resorts, while drinking a coffee in a friendly atmosphere. To make sure you don't miss any of these warm moments with the locals, here are the places and dates to remember:
- Monday to Allemond from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in summer season.
- Tuesday at Venosc from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the summer season (cable car park) and from 15 p.m. to 19 p.m. in the winter season (multipurpose room)
- Wednesday in Mont-de-Lans from 8 a.m. to 13 p.m. all year round (free shuttle and chairlift from Les 2 Alpes) and from Bourg-d'Oisans in summer.
- Thursday at La Grave from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (parking opposite the Hôtel du Castillan)
- Friday in Alpe d'Huez summer mornings (place Paganon)
- Friday at Vaujany mornings in summer and winter (cable car square).
- Saturday in Bourg-d'Oisans from 8 a.m. to 13 p.m. all year round.
- Sunday at Allemond from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in winter season.
