Program
The paths of the Vénéon have ears. Ideal companions for carrying luggage and motivating children to walk, donkeys accompany you on a hiking trip, discovering the diversity of the Vénéon in a unique and original way.
The donkeys of Provence have been spending the summer in the upper Vénéon valley for several years and arrive in Vénéon at the beginning of June after 15 days of transhumance... They are therefore in great shape and well prepared to explore the hiking trails between Saint Christophe and La Bérarde with you!
1st day: St Christophe – Le Puy – Fétoules Mirror – Les Près – Cuculet – Pré Clot
6km / 513m elevation gain / 4 hours walking. Night at Gîte les Arias.
2nd day: Pré Clot – Champébran – Champhorent – Vallon de la Lavey
8km / 429m of positive elevation gain / 4h30 of walking. Night at the Refuge de la Lavey
3rd day: Lavey Valley – La Bérarde
12 km / 340m elevation gain / 5 hours walking.
4th day: La Bérarde – Vallon des Étançons
10 km / 522m of positive elevation gain / 5 hours of walking. Drop off the donkey and return to St Christophe with the donkey driver.

Prices shown include:
– Dormitory accommodation.
– Full board (dinner + overnight stay + breakfast + picnic) from the evening of the 1st day to the morning of the last day (only bring the picnic for the 1st day).
– Rental of a donkey and loan of carrying equipment (pack saddle, mats, bags, leashes, advice booklet).
– Grooming bag for donkey care
– Repatriation of the driver to the point of departure.
– Dormitory accommodation.
