Program
Swimming cycle “knowing how to swim” and discovery of the mountain environment
SWIMMING CYCLE
Module of 7 to 8 swimming sessions lasting 45 minutes each.
The main objective remains to get the student to practice what is expected from level 2 of the common core: knowing how to swim. Therefore, the project consists of multiplying the experiences that allow the student to acquire aquatic autonomy. It can be structured around the following 3 axes:
– Axis 1: Water entries and immersions.
– Axis 2: Balance and flotation.
– Axis 3: Movements: propulsions and breathing.
The content of these workshops is validated in advance by the teacher. To do this, technical sheets and monitoring tools are sent to him/her to carry out a diagnostic and formative assessment in class with his/her students (self-assessment booklet: assessment grid level 1 to 3, aquatic and nautical activity tests, etc.).
A diagnostic assessment during the first session allows the creation of groups of levels adapted to the skills and progress of each child (discovery of the environment, gradual gain of confidence, gain of autonomy and learning of more or less complex swimming techniques).
OTHER ACTIVITY POSSIBILITIES – MOUNTAIN OUTINGS
– Discovery of the fauna and flora of the Alps
– Adaptation of man in a mountain environment
– Water transforms landscapes
– Visit to the Grand-Maison hydroelectric dam
